About this Tour
Tram 28 is Lisbon's signature image — and also one of the longest queues in the city. We follow the same route without the wait: your LuxMotion chauffeur drives the historic Tram 28 itinerary in a Mercedes-Benz, stopping where it is worth stopping and telling you the city along the way.
We pass Restauradores, Rossio and Largo de Camões, climb to Largo do Carmo and drop down towards the Estrela Basilica. We then head west, with the Belém Palace and the Jerónimos Monastery in view, and set aside time for the Graça viewpoint, one of the best panoramas over the rooftops and the Tagus.
It is the most comfortable way to understand Lisbon's geography in two hours: hills, trams, tiles and river, with air conditioning, photo stops and a driver who knows the city by heart. Ideal for anyone arriving by ship who wants to see a lot in a short time.

Encontro com o chauffeur LuxMotion à saída do navio e partida em Mercedes-Benz rumo ao início do trajeto histórico do Elétrico 28.
Percorremos o centro nervoso da cidade, onde o 28 começa a subir. Paragem para fotografias e contexto histórico sobre a reconstrução pombalina.
Do convento em ruínas que ficou como memória do terramoto de 1755 à cúpula branca da Estrela, dois marcos que o elétrico atravessa todos os dias.
Descida até à zona ribeirinha, com o Palácio de Belém e a fachada manuelina do Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, além do Centro Cultural de Belém.
Última paragem no miradouro com uma das melhores vistas sobre os telhados e o Tejo, antes do regresso confortável ao terminal de cruzeiros.

We had tried the actual tram the day before in another port city and swore never again. This does the same route in a comfortable car with a driver who stops wherever the view is worth it. Largo do Carmo and the Estrela basilica were both new to us.
Perfect for a short port call. Our chauffeur told us stories the whole way and knew exactly where to pull over for pictures at the Graça viewpoint. Belém at the end was the right call, even if we only saw the monastery from outside.
Muy buena manera de ver Lisboa en poco tiempo. El conductor fue puntual en el terminal de cruceros y muy amable. Le pongo cuatro estrellas porque en Belém había tanto tráfico que perdimos un rato dentro del coche, aunque eso no es culpa suya.
My mother is eighty-one and cannot manage Lisbon's hills. This let her see Rossio, Camões, Estrela and the Graça viewpoint without a single climb. The driver helped her in and out at every stop without being asked.
Éramos sete e coubemos todos com folga. O motorista fez o percurso do 28 com calma e parou nos miradouros certos. Gostei sobretudo de ele nos ter avisado da hora de regresso sem estar sempre a olhar para o relógio.
